dont take it the wrong way, and i respect all the female cast. but i cant love a movie that is poorly scripted and graphics was equally as bad as the movie remake of the hunting.
that said i really like the pic, and she really does have old school egon look from the cartoon

sadly yes, every thing you see in the trailer is that. it was more like a Saturday night live comic then a class A comedy. for granted their where 3 laughable things but thats it. this movie had a chance of equality and they just made both sides looks stupid, more so on men, graphic was very bad beyond and you didnt get attached to the character's.

you don't really need to see the film to know the effects aren't that good and the humour is forced, where as in The old Ghost Busters all the funny lines are memorable and weren't forced to try be funny, that being said I would probably still give this film a see to be sure if I like it or not, only because Chris Hemsworth though >.>

Getsysoulja92 has a point, you can never beat a classic and the effects do look pretty lacklustre as seen in the trailer, also you can tell it's going to be cheesy af, but still I'm with him on the fact I'm still probably going to see it or at least wait until it's out on Netflix, because idk it might be good, just I wish they got a better cast, but the one girl in it I actually find quite funny as I loved her in Tammy, so she might save it for me, also Chris Hemsworth and the other woman, the one who plays female Egon, she could save it too, but still it will never live up to the classic and you can take that to the bank

I don't think it's trying to live up to the classic, but if it is it took a pretty different angle than expected. I feel like this one had more of a Haunted Mansion/Tower of Terror vibe to it with very silly humor.
Sounds like you named off more than half of the main cast as people you like, so not sure what you mean by wanting a better cast.

Yes, but not being turned into one, it is one. Again, on account of one of the original main cast being very very dead. The living cast all make appearances.

This all coming, again, from you having not actually seen the film. Jokes in trailers are the film equivalent of hearing only the punchlines from a stand-up comedian, it's a highlight reel. A huge part of comedic writing is the scenario, timing, and flow of a scene. I don't think any reboot or remake of a classic can beat a classic, that would imply that the originals can be replaced. It's fair for you to be disinterested, and it's cool you still want to see it even in your disinterest, but dude. Wait to see it first. I'm not here to convince you it's good. I just think it's irresponsible to hate on an experience a film gives people when you didn't have that experience yourself.

I didn't say kys or it's a piece of crap compared to the original, but like you gotta understand the classic will always be tons better whether I've seen the new one or not, it's just the truthe, but I am still maybe going to give it a watch only because it has Melissa Mccarthy in it though and Chris Hemsworth, I'm just saying I hate when people make remakes when there doesn't have to be a remake, just like with Fantastic Four, that film was pretty bad, but only because Dr Doom looked like a piece of gray crap was put on him and the acting was eh 5/10, but I still gave it a try and it wasn't that bad as I thought, just as The new Ghost busters will probably be, but it probably wont make it in my top 10
