we all feel more comfortable with "our" media, but it's nice to explore from time to time out of our niche
i did collages for a while, it was wonderful. but suddenly, i stopped, the inspiration was gone.

It is nice to explore and I wish the old inspiration thing wasn't so fickle . I've been reading too much lately( news} and that is always depressing. I know it is hard where you are, how are you doing ? The information we get in the states is manipulated , spun so who knows what to believe. Β I loveΒ your work and bet your collages are wonderful too. There is so much feeling in your work.

here it's not so good. specially that i live in the north, close to Syria. the llast year was difficult, for some time there was bombing every night, and my kids had a lot of days without school this year. but now it's getting better. most of the times at least.

I replied but don't think it went through so excuse me if you got it. I am so sorry for what you and your family have been through. I cannot imagine how hard it must be on the children or how much it has caused you worry. Hearing bombs go off, I can only imagine. I do not understand the violence and the hatred that seems to be every where lately. I am glad that it has calmed down somewhat for you. I am sorry that my country has caused so many to suffer in this world, it is deeply disturbing to many here. We seem to have many politicians who advocate for war at the slightest provocation. I believe it is because the corporations stand to profit from war.I hope that wasn't too political a statement.
Β I like your collages ! You have your own style which is really nice, maybe you will get the urge to do some more. They are no imperfect at all !

no worries about political, here our life consists of one big continuous political event, been going on since 40 years. so we're used to it, politics and war and bombs. my children are starting too, which i thought i will never allow to happen to them like it happened to me.
but life don't give you much choices sometimes.

I like them very much, you will do more when that urge hits. I do not see them as imperfect at all, you have your own style and that is a good thing.
Β I am so sorry you have been going through so much and can't imagine how hard that is with children. I am glad it is getting somewhat better. Too much suffering in this world and for what. I cannot understand the violence or the hate that seems to exist every where lately. I am very sorry to say that my country causes so much hurt around the world, so many suffer Β for corporations to profit. I hope saying that is not too political.

Marionettes, yes that is how it feels. I don't think we can protect the children from politics, even my ten year old granddaughter has her opinions. We can only hope that we have taught them to be just and caring to all peoples.Β
I think the mess is why I haven't made myself work lately. I get the cooking thing too. I feel guilty about giving my husband sandwiches lately so I just made a chicken pie. It really Β made a mess of me and the kitchen, it better come out good.
