I have a whole slew I practiced on as Christmas presents before I did this. This one is just the best of the lot... and the hardest. I am not a flower person.

Well, not much I could do about the rose, as I drew it from a photograph I took and that's the way it looked in the picture. I'm not sure what I could do to make it look different... as I am not a flower person I tend to draw as it is from the photo and am hesitant to just move it around in a different postion... ah well.

I did them for others for Christmas and birthday gifts. I don't usually draw flowers. Unfortunately, no one is around like me that likes fantasy/anime/manga and would like a drawing of Hitsugaya (can't imagine why not!) ... I'm seen as a bit of an 'odd duck' among my relatives and friends.

oil or acrylic paints I am not good at with at all! But the technique I use for colored pencil is referred to as "colored pencil painting".

I do have a doujinshi I am working on trying to get it ready. It's going to be different from the last two I did. Less romance, more humor (hopefully) and with more captains and shinigami in it.
