Description Wow...how long has it been since I uploaded a picture related to my Grand Design series involving all of the main characters together? Too long - that's how long. But I recently uploaded a poll asking people which drawing idea people liked the sound of most, and the #1 choice was 'the respect between prey and predator (it's only part of the natural order after all - and an idea I have for how the predators in the main cast co-operate with their prey for the time being ) '

I was actually struggling to think up of how I would pull this one off - I had an idea, but actually executing it turned out to be a bit harder to envision than I thought, but I thought a nice idea would be to have the main characters showing unity between each other by having different diets but still being able to co-operate. (Koko is eating an egg and Mika is eating a bag of trail mix, by the way And Mika is wearing a synthetic hand that she has to manually reposition into different poses to allow her to grip or hold something. )

I found a nice article online with someone discussing the importance of predators, using cheetahs as an example, with a point within that inspired this piece.

cheetah.org/2011/05/why-are-pr…

'Predators cull vulnerable prey, such as the old, injured, sick, or very young, leaving more food for the survival and prosperity of healthy prey animals. Also, by controlling the size of prey populations, predators help slow down the spread of disease. Predators will catch healthy prey when they can, but catching sick or injured animals helps in natural selection and the establishment of healthier prey populations as the fittest animals are left to survive and reproduce.'

With this point in mind and some other series I've seen where the prey and predator characters get along without just eating each other, I thought that could this could factor into it.

It has been a while since I've drawn these characters, so hopefully they turned out alright.

Oh, this is so cute.

I need to catch up on The Grand Design if you've updated it recently.

Thank you.

Unfortunately, I haven't updated it for a while.... I really need to. I'm doing some of these drawings of the characters to get my creative juices flowing again.
