Description Been a while since I've drawn anything involving Edgar Bloodworth, and after writing the Eight Facts about Edgar Bloodworth journal www.deviantart.com/duckyworth/… - I took a look at fact number 2 (Even though he tries to see the best in any creature he comes across, as a child, he once came across a unspeakable entity in the basement of his old home that scared him so much it's one of the few demons he never wishes to come across again. The creature has long escaped, and he's secretly anxious about the possibility of it appearing again. ) , and decided to have a go at drawing the demon that he came across.

I know that rabbits aren't often an animal associated with monsters (and no, Night of The Lepus DOESN'T count ), but, in real life, rabbits can get pretty damn brutal in the wild, (and that's not to mention their explosive breeding - just ask farmers in Australia for example  )so I thought about having this be a kind of rabbit demon. I'm trying to think of a name for the character - anyone got any suggestions?

The story behind the scene would go like this - Edgar's parents, and indeed, their entire bloodline, were well known warlocks and necromancers who were tasked with keeping a eye on any demons that would cross over into the human world and ensuring that no one could misuse these creatures, with Edgar being taught the ways of the family business - Stufyng the 'teddy bear' being the first demon Edgar had met and befriended. His parents were away on business one day and Edgar was left home alone.
All of a sudden, in the house basement, an ancient evil began crossing over through a weakening link between dimensions. Edgar, acting on impulse to try and stop whatever it was from crossing over, attempted a ritual to keep the creature out, but inadvertently brought the demon over into the human world.
Stufyng, acting as Edgar's 'guardian angel' of sorts, attempted to fight off the emerging monster, but was brutally attacked (torn apart - his kind can survive being torn in half as long as they're put back together correctly, but to them, that's the equivalent of having their guts spilling out  ) and left incapacitated.
The demon, mockingly thanking the terrified young boy for being responsible for releasing him and saying humans in general shouldn't be trusted with such knowledge - if they can't keep an eye on this, this dimension should be for the taking.
Escaping, the demon left, vowing to see Edgar again in the future.... and leaving the poor boy and his friend traumatized by the event. (Edgar is generally comfortable around other demons, but as a result of his near death experience, he's probably developed leporiphobia as a result - and it's something he does NOT take kindly to being mocked.)

So if I can get around to making this a series, this rabbit demon could end up being a recurring villain (I just need to think about what his powers could be ) - and yes, I'll be planning on drawing more characters for this series and possibly thinking of a name for the series if I make this a recurring thing.

That is an appropriately brutal-looking demon; possessing a rabbit form does not diminish its frightening presence at all! Though somewhat different from this OC, it reminds me of the dangerous rabbits in one short story of the 'Pet Shop of Horrors' manga~

Thank you. I'm happy I was able to make him look menacing enough.

I may very well have to look that up.

This rabbit could be as evil as the killer rabbit of Caerbannog.  Where is the holy hand Grenade when we need it?

How about Leporus? It's a reference to the family name for rabbits and hares.

Maybe his powers could be self-duplication, as a references to rabbits being explosive breeders?

I've seen Watership Down, I don't doubt that the lagomorphs can be BRUTAL in the wild.

Good point - I was referring to portrayals BESIDES that.
