I'll never understand Ralph Bakshi and what is it with him adding pornographic, disgusting, vile, and racist stereotypes in his films which is why I stay away from them. But he was right about something when he made them, that cartoons are not just for kids, which is why we have ratings nowadays so we know what to keep kids away from what they shouldn't be seeing.
Also yes, Holli is a real bitch and a slut. And you know what might sound scary when the real world was becoming a land of doodles and stereotypes, suppose the longer those people were to stay as doodles, then the more their memories of their past lives as real humans would fade and they would forget who they used to be...forever. Suppose that was what Holli was planning when taking the spike. Talk about another fate worst than death. But unless you're a human killed by a doodle and resurrected as one to be ok about that, I guess that's another thing.

YEES! Kill off the most obnoxious character in the movie. I only like Nails and he deserves better than that trashy film...sadly I and a few other people still like it for some reason....guess Nails gets to me since he is my favorite in the whole movie.

Do you think you might review some of Bakshi's other animated films in the future?

You know it was pretty funny with those doodles running around and going crazy, ya know with the killing and spilling and such. It goes to show that Cool World is a dark polar opposite to Toon Town of Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Disney.
I think the 'Cool' in Cool World is on the coolness of bad things like violence, sex, gambling, nudity and all that junk.

I just found it annoying.... If you read up what Ralph Bakshi originally intended for the film, it sounds much better in comparison...

Here's some info I found -
The film was originally planned to be an animated horror film about an underground cartoonist, who fathers an illegitimate half-human/half-cartoon daughter, who hates herself for what she is and tries to kill him.
Wow! That sounds like Toonstruck mixed together with Felidae! How much better would that story be?! But, of course, during production, Bakshi's original screenplay was scrapped by producer Frank Mancuso, Jr. and heavily rewritten by Michael Grais, Mark Victor, and Larry Gross. Wow.... that explains a lot....
The new screenplay was apparently written in secret by the son of the president of Paramount, and it was jumped on Bakshi at the last minute..... Bakshi remembers that he got into a fight with Mancuso, Jr. and "punched [him] in the mouth." Paramount threatened Bakshi with a lawsuit if he refused to complete the film. "I thought if I did the animation well, it would be worth it, but you know what? It wasn't worth it." Bakshi also stated that he "had a lot of animators there that I'd brought in and I thought that maybe I could just have fun animating this stuff, which I did." Bakshi had developed the film as a mix of comedy and horror that he described as "a hard R-rated story" but Paramount wanted a PG-13 film, one of the reasons for the doomed and angry relationship between filmmaker and studio. It's a real shame that the president of Paramount was such an ass, as he literally RUINED what could have been a great movie. The film's animators were never given a screenplay, and were instead told by Bakshi to "Do a scene that's funny, whatever you want to do!" Explains why the animated characters started coming out of nowhere.....
Like Legend of the Guardians: Owls of Ga'Hoole, the film suffers from SUDDEN rewrites at the last minute that completely screwed up the film's potential. The films should have been classics, but instead, they're WORTHLESS....
As part of the film's promotion, the Hollywood Sign was altered to include a 75-foot-tall cutout of Holli Would. The alteration angered local residents, and protestors picketed the unveiling of the altered sign. PAHAHAHAHA, I would be angry too if a huge cutout of one of my least favourite characters was shown in Las Vegas! The film also received a Razzie Award nomination for WORST actress – Kim Bassinger. YES! Someone agrees with my anger towards Holli Would!
