Description
This crossover picture was a LONG time coming. Since early 2020, I had a concept in mind for a crossover between two spooky cartoons that I enjoy a fair bit.

The first of these cartoons is Ruby Gloom, a cartoon I watched when I was a teenager - my sister introduced me to it as she was going through a goth phase at the time, and despite being made fun of a little by my peers because it was geared towards a young female demographic (yep - much like what many guys felt happening with Friendship is Magic three years later ), but I really enjoyed the characters and it helped inspire my own stories and concepts about characters seeming creepy but being nothing but kind and supportive, like the lead character herself. I also drew a piece of fanart for it AGES ago back in 2014 -

And the other cartoon is Bunnicula, a cartoon I only started watching last year- but as well as the spooky aesthetic appealing to me, it reminded me a little of some spooky cartoons I grew up with like The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy (funny, because Maxwell Atoms WAS involved with it ) and Courage the Cowardly Dog - and I drew fanart for it last year.

So the crossover idea I had was Ruby Gloom and Mina Monroe (the main girl in Bunnicula), meeting up and getting along with each other's respective pets, Bunnicula and Doom Kitty. (Since both girls have an affection for dark things others may find creepy, I thought they'd get along well - Ruby even has a stuffed rabbit called Mr Buns she makes in one early episode! ) And since its October, it only seemed fitting.
