I saw this pic a long while back and lost it when my cat decided to do a tap dance on my keyboard - what was funny was I was watching the movie at the same time - I LOVE that movie! Tony Curtis and Marilyn - my god - when actors and movies enhanced brain cells and were beautifully and carefully crafted pieces of ART! Even comedies like this were treasures! And so were the actors - I LIVE on TCM. 'All About Eve' is better than dark chocolate! And this pic is STILL breath taking! I'm so happy to have found it again! And look at the groups - definitely fave finds!
Don't ever let anyone tell you perseverance doesn't pay off...

As the toys got more complex, acting and story were replaced by special affects and the most common experiences. Research is a penchant of mine and asking the question of why got me answers that unfortunately led to the mighty dollar. The greater the ability for distribution of a film, the more money a film can make. The three most profitable perspectives are hetero-normative masculine, violence, and pornography. Overseas audiences aren't expected to understand humor (no matter the origin of audience) specific to region, but understanding and response to those things forced on us are common enough. A Japanese audience can respond in a universal manner to Spiderman, but not so well to Some Like it Hot. Its the same excuse that's used when women ask for more in depth playable female characters in video games. The response is that most players are male so there is no point, despite the fact that 46 percent of gamers are indeed female. It isn't really accurate, but it all comes down to what the industry perceives will sell. And right now, for movies, stuff like what you and I love - that subtly and depth and art - isn't what the guys making money want to take a chance on.

I don't know what makes me happier - the drawing itself or the fact that you love Some Like It Hot

I love that you drew "Josephine" in his woman disguise. That was the best part of the whole movie!

Yes, but since the film was written and directed by Billy Wilder, I think my credit works too?

Haay, what about Joseph's friend and the rich guy? (I love the movie but I can't for the life of me remember all their names, sorry!) They're so sweet, even if really, really awkward. Although I suppose you don't do more than one couple from the same movie? Anyway, you're an amazing artist!

despite the fact that this is like my best friend's favorite movie, I have never actually seen it. There's a lot of older films I want to indulge in, but they're never on t.v. ah...oh well. Still, quite lovely work from you! I like it when people draw fan art from live action and don't just copy a screenshot!
