Queen Elinor: I understand this must all seem unfair. Even I had reservations when I faced betrothal.-----
Elinor and Fergus are now available as a print, tote bag, coffee mug, iPod cases and skins, laptop cases, and more!! It's been way too long since my last Couples piece, so when my mom put on Brave the other day, I figured it'd be a good time to draw another one! It was only a matter of time until I got to Elinor and Fergus. There were many things I liked about Brave, but what I really loved was Queen Elinor and King Fergus. They were married because they were betrothed, they've had four crazy children, they're older, and they're still totally in love and devoted to each other.
They are perfect and I love them.On this one I decided to cut loose a little and take a few liberties with Elinor and Fergus. Mainly with their outfits; I watched the movie, jotted down the basic elements and then basically winged it. Typically for these pieces I try to get their designs/details down as closely as I can. I had so much fun with this one I'm thinking I should cut loose more often.

I love Queen Elinor and King Fergus from Brave, they were a lovely couple who treated being married and raising a family like an equal partnership which is what a good marriage should be. They are also adorable together because she is quiet and dignified while he is loud and fun loving, they just make a wonderful pair.
