While Chapters 8 and 9 are still in production, we wanted to celebrate the first finished V3 Chapter with a sneak peek at the opening scene. It was a lot of fun to make, and we hope you enjoy!

Ok good, I could have sworn the one sacrificed was a twin. So will we find out the back story of the twins further in the graphic novel or will it be through prelude?

I'm a bit confused, Scuttler spoke normally in Vol 1. Yet now he speaks in a kind of Golum like manner.
Is there a reason for this?

Aye. His character concept has been a lot more developed and refined since then. We maintain that the writing for V1 wasn't really all that great, and we mostly just got lucky that we came up with a strong lead cast to charm people into loving the comic 8 D There's been a lot of learning in the writing department and lots of improvements are being made. Properly characterizing each individual is part of it. *swhoosh*

I like the guy with all the spikes! spikes are awesome... X3
it's hard to believe he's a bad guy because he's wearing white, but never judge a book by it's cover.

The detail and richness in his workshop is wonderful; I never would have thought that the sandmen were created by Scuttles. (I like the red dog leash on that thing on the floor, and the ribcage doors on that cabinet.) Again, it's fun seeing Scuttles babbling idiotically over Nabonidus' monologue, in spite of how easy it would be for him to destroy Scuttles.
The last panel has a beautiful sense of perspective.
