Happy Halloween! Here’s our seasonal Prelude special, also available on our site animated at: [link] It’s a continuation of our idea to add some animation into our seasonal specials - although we may have gone a bit over the top in this one. The animation looks alright within the individual panels, but when viewed all at once it turns into an epileptic nightmare. And you’re welcome.
I think this is officially the bloodiest Prelude comic we’ve made to date, generally the slaughter-type-stuff is reserved for the graphic novels. It’s fun to make the occasional exception, though.

I used two programs, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Image-Ready. First I made the picture in photoshop, including separate layers for the separate animation frames. So by turning layers on and off, it was like turning animation frames on and off.
Then in image-ready, it lets you make a timeline and turn the layers on and off / adjust opacity in a sequence. Then you just save the whole thing from Image-Ready as an animated .gif, and there you go! 8 )

Death and blood, with panicked screams. The deaths from nightmares once invisiblem now seen. You run you hide, you pray for safe cover. Only to find it's hungry for another. It knows where you are, it has your scent. Your life expectancy is all but spent. It has you know and you scream with dread. Just as the tape falls off it's cardboard head.

*grasps chest and breathes* Goodness you two! That was insane. Gotten quite ambitious have you? Not just animated lighting but movements as well. What can we expect next? A minute long animated film of prelude

This is truly epic! I love how much detail there is. I don't want to even guess at how much time went into it. You've hit a new high in terms of comic creation. If only we had digital paper. You're books would be in a class of their own. (I think they already are in terms of style and originality.)

Wow, I love all the animated elements, it really highlights every detail of Namah's homicidal fantasy. Then I saw the last panel and I totally LOL'd. Great job!
