Weeks after: AA Meeting | Apologies and Alcohol

Sydney glanced down at Jarin's getup. He was still wearing those dumb tight pants and boots that looked like the could strangle a man. What the English rider's had against circulation, Sydney would never understand. He rolled his eyes and leaned on the arena rail, watching Jarin get his silly grey horse stood still so he could mount up. One thing he would grant is that those pants didn't hide anything. They certainly weren't doing Jarin's physique any good as his runner's thighs were on full display. Sydney snorted and couldn't resist, "Hey, your thong is showin'."
Jarin had just hiked a leg to hook a foot in the stirrup when he heard Sydney behind him. Jarin squealed and jumped right into Abe's side. Abe squealed with Jarin and jumped sideways too! They were perfectly in sync with each other already... Jarin readjusted his glasses and looked over his shoulder, his face red with embarrassment, "I-I don't w-wear that kind of stuff!" He huddled closer to Abe with a hand over his butt just in case his underwear really was showing, giving Sydney a pouty face. He could have at least said something before sneaking up on him like that! Though, Jarin couldn't help but be a little flinchy around Sydney. After he took one of those boulders for fists to the face, he didn't want to meet another one. Sure, he had said his apologies for upsetting Sydney and all seemed forgiven, but what if it happened again?
Sydney snorted and looked proud of himself for causing a scene. Jarin was so easy to set off, it was hilarious. All he had to do was suggest something dirty and he went off sputtering and squealing like a mare in heat. Sydney liked to torment for the reaction. "Those pants get any tighter and you will be," he laughed. "Thought you were done with this English shit?"
Jarin patted Abe's shoulder, rolling his massive braid under itself and pulled the double set of reins back again. It was true. Jarin had sort of stopped riding English. He couldn't actually recall the last time he even got on Abe for the sake of dressage. A hack here and there, sure. But actual dressage... "Well...I miss it a little," he said humbly. It was what he had learned on horses first...
And Sydney knew that. And hated it. Because he thought the guy that taught him dressage was a stuck-up, egotistical, wishy-washy, preened, spoiled, piece of used toilet paper. He had worked very hard to break Jarin of the English nonsense and was doing a damn good job of it too. "Ya got more important things to do, ya know. Rather than dancing around on your lil' Barbie horse, Princess."
Jarin blushed again being called 'Princess'. Sydney had started using it on Jarin more and more like it was his new name! He huffed a little, standing up for himself, "Abe is not a Barbie horse! Those are tiny and plastic. Abe his giant and magnificent! And-and I'm not a girl!"
Sydney's shit-eating grin popped up again. There was that little squeal and tail flip again. Sydney could eat it up all day long. Yet another thing Sydney had worked hard on, getting that boy a sack between his legs for once. Get him to take a stand for himself. He'd never forget the day Jarin gave him the proudest salute he ever did see: I Have Hank .
Sydney shook his head and turned to head out because he did have other things to be doing than watching the two dumbest animals in the barn prance around in the arena, "Had me fooled with yer girl pants."
Jarin stomped his foot with the might of a flea (aggression and posturing wasn't his thing...) "They aren't that tight! And they aren't girl pants!" He watched Sydney walked away, his heart rate up and his hands sweaty. It's like he tried to set Jarin off on purpose... no, he wouldn't do that. Sydney was a good guy. Jarin took a breath to calm himself and glanced down at his breeches.
...Maybe they were getting a bit too tight...

Jarin just wanted to give one last performance. Just one more time before he forgot what ultimate control on a horse felt like. He picked up the reins in his hands, all cleaned up now for the breed showcase. He let Abe's hair flow freely, not bound to any show's rules. He wanted to show how naturally beautiful Abe was. His rippling muscles and hair flowing as free as a river.
Jarin sat up proud, going through his maneuvers. He loved how powerful and precise Abe felt under him. It was an incredible feeling under him. Such a powerhouse, yet so quiet and nimble. It was a work of art to see something so strong be able to soften up. Like a pro wrestler holding a litter of kittens. Or like Sydney when he giggled like a child at a gross joke... *cough*
But dressage wasn't all about tiny movements and collection. There was the extension! The mighty charge of a war-steed! Jarin smiled, sending Abe into a thunderous charge down the arena! The wind caught his mighty mane like a banner, waving in the air!
"Pfff, Abe!"
Abe rounded his neck over like a proud stud and charged into battle! He rocked back on his hocks and soared into battle, bold and unafraid!
"ABE!"
Jarin was not going into this battle with all his wits about him! He was desperately trying to see through the hurricane, no an ocean of hair! He was being swallowed in a wall of white strands! They were like the tentacles of the mighty Kraken, reaching up to strangle him and drag him to the bottom of the ocean! One of the mighty tendrils snatched his glasses off his face, blinding him like he had been inked. Jarin squealed a little and engaged the brakes! He pulled on the reins as the eye was up to his eyes, choking him out.
Abe slowed down into a lovely collected canter, bringing calm to the perilous ocean again. Jarin leaned back forward, taking a savory breath of air. He spit out the hair he had inhaled and looked seasick. There were no further canter extensions in his freestyle pattern after that. Jarin couldn't brave the waters again. He learned. He learned very well.
Braids.
Braids were the only way to tame the beast.

SO I DID A THING AT A RECORD PACE! I started this thing technically Friday night, doing the sketches and lines and I finished it Sunday night. Holy shit. Like. whoa. That's like lightning fast for me. Sonic speed. And I streamed the whole thing! :'D Mostly to keep me working on it constantly xD I only took a break to finish up another competition image! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT CAME TO THOSE STREAMS. You guys are the only reason I survived this mass of hair.
Side note...hair is a lot like when i try to do water...I just shouldn't xD This hair...it's hair. I died. I should know better than to take on the hair beast but...ITS THE BABE! It's been too long since I've drawn the babe and what better way than use him to represent one of my favorite breeds of all time. Beaurevers are my forever horsey home <3 I'm so happy Abe's a part of them <3
Just wanted to relax and make something pretty for once! Enjoy the process and have a good time doing it :'') So voila, something a little more artistic~
