Description A scene west of Kansas City before the Burlington Northern, Santa Fe merger in 1995, or if it never happened. In reality, this was taken in April 2010, 15 years after the merger. The scene is complete with ATSF style target signals dotting the landscape.

I was three years old when the merger was complete. Being a big Santa Fe fan, and living in Kansas for the first four years of my life, I wasn't so happy.

Nice shot. Also is right as the signals that were there are gone but the The Santa Fe Locomotives are still there.

Those lights are gone, they have been replacing them slowly but surely. The terminal railway has a bunch of them everywhere but BNSF's are gone.

Great shot! It's amazing there are places where you could pretend the merger never happened...BNSF doesn't seem to crazed about repainting yardpower or Geeps. Hodgkins is another great place to see barely patched units.

I know the LCHI-102 has had some great power! Today it was just a pair of H-2 painted B40-8Ws.
