Description This tiny knife, Maus, is about 2 1/4" total length and was made from a section of ciircular saw blade. To tell the truth, I have no idea where the actual piece has gone.

Update: Two years later, Maus has resurfaced, and is in safe keeping. Also, I have had the sort of day which makes me want to kick something, so I would like to draw everybody's attention back to a ridiculous verbally abusive (and by this I primarily mean that he abuses words) mind-bogglingly emo simpleton whose dA nick begins with "S". This may seem petty of me, but I simply cannot bear the deep insult of being called a "hemophiliac ". Or a "haeeician", whatever that is.

Thank you. I guess I'd better get onto some more miniature knife designs soon.

Um... respectfully, you're not planning on actually swinging this particular arrangement around, are you? I suspect there's a reason that the kusari kama is an only child in the blade-and-chain family tree, and that's only got a blade on one end. I'm a little concerned for your safety.

Yeah... okay... You just keep a solid grip on both weapons at all times, okay? And maybe get some advice from your sensei or sifu.

Well, I've been trying to keep this non-confrontational, but I think I'm out of PC options. Your claims to me have the sound of a boast made by somebody whose experience consists of flailing in the back yard trying to duplicate something they saw in a movie. I believe that you are about to auto-darwinate. I very firmly request that you either take this ill-advised monstrosity of yours to your master for evaluation if you actually have one or that you please keep this sort of bad example off of my page. This is a terrible idea.

Actually, a few more words in parting. Pretentious? Were you aiming for irony, Mister special-taskforce-bushido-fu-samurai-ninja-of-some-kind, or did it sneak up on you? I didn't start out "judging you." I voiced a concern that you were going to injure or kill yourself or someone else, and I did so in as diplomatic a fashion as you could ask for. It's your pig-headed insistence that your mysteriously gained expertise qualifies you to invent and use new weapons which hundreds of years of martial arts masters couldn't invent which drove me to make my point in plain terms - and even then, it was not "judgement". Well, I'm judging you now, Grasshopper. And where is this master of yours whose identity or existence you've oh so subtly evaded several times? You don't have one, and you never did. Your 'expertise' amounts to adolescent imitation of the Power Rangers and using Japanese words you don't understand. Kazai, by the way, is the surname of a particular modern 'ninja' (which seems doubtful since there is no such thing as a famous ninja) and has nothing to do with some "special ninja task force". Do yourself a favour, and get some actual training instead of making arrogant and completely fictitious boasts. Gah, teenaged boys...

Yes, so you've said. And who was your master? If you were not taught by a properly trained and recognized master then you are a danger to yourself and to any nearby onlookers. Your description of Bushido as a martial artform - it is actually a code of conduct - does not lead me to believe that you actually know a damned thing about any of this. "Special ninja task force of some kind" also fails to instill in me a sense of confidence in your expertise. Furthermore, I cannot bring myself to believe that a swordsman would even momentarily consider chaining a sword to a sickle. It completely defeats the advantages of a sword - particularly a light sword - by slowing and tethering it. And if you actually swing the thing, as I suspect you mean to, you create a very fast-moving very sharp object which has no brakes and which is rather inconveniently tethered to you. Just try learning how to properly (PROPERLY!!!) use a kusari kama. Seriously. Stick a wakizashi on the end of it later if you must, but don't screw around just jumping into this wasp's nest of self-inflicted mutilation.

True, dat. But you haven't seen my living space. And then there's the possibility that I donated it as a prize in hopes of getting some exposure. My mind's as much of a mess as my workspace, I think.

The twist makes the piece. You ought to make something similar with more twists in the handle!

I may yet. I need to make something with a longer 'tail' so I can make a proper - if miniature - blacksmith's knife.
