Description
As-of-yet to occur scene for my fanfiction Red Hot , a fic centering on the budding relationship of Ashelin and Torn. (Jak & Daxter series.) As you may have guessed, this is before Ashe gets her Crimson Guard tattoos.The story takes place in the Wasteland outside of Haven City, Torn being a commander of 23 and Ashe a private of 17. Impressed by Torn but hating it, Ashe shows a lot of open hatred for him, so in return, Torn comes up with a new kind of training, wherein anyone who completes, passes.
A whole week in the Wasteland, led by Torn himself. Ironically, however, even though this test is approved by Baron Praxis, Ashe is the only one of the group who shows to take it on. Everyone else had chickened out. So now Torn and Ashe get to spend a week, alone, in a desert. . .

Background is supposed to be a cave (where they spend their nights) with a fire going. But I hated it so I erased along the edges, trying to give it a faded-out not-important look.
I put a looooot of work into those hands, trying to make the knuckles, creases, and fingernails look right. It's probably what I'm most proud of.
I considered getting rid of the black outlines on Torn's tattoos, but I got lazy so blah.

Yeah there needs to be more hetero for the J&D series. I'm so sick of the "well Dax turns human in this one" and the "no, no, Jak has a thing for animal cruelty" and the even worse "all the guys go at it."
And yeah my life isn't quite as cruise-controlled as it used to be. I foresee tough waters ahead, but hopefully it won't cause too much trouble.

Well, see my OTP for the Jak series is Ash/Torn (she's so top. xD), but I also ship Jak/Dax...but...Dax has to somehow be an elf not an ottsel. And I ship Tess/Keira, mainly cause I can see it happening and, besides, the girls need some love, too.

I try not to discriminate cause I don't like slash, but seriously. I counted. 88 Jak&Dax fanfics on aff.net, 1 is femslash, 3 are hetero (not counting my two), and all the rest are gay.
Even though the pairings are clear in the series itself.

I know, I know. To me, the point of fanfiction is, while acknowleging the original work, you say "But what if..." It's a chance to explore different possiblities.
I'll agree, there are a lot of fanfic writers out there that need to find something better to do with their time. but I've read some fanfictions that are so well written, I'm like "...I'd never thought about that before."

The Lucky Ones comes to mind. It's, by far, the most well-written, thought-out, touching fanfic I've ever read. It's for the Inuyasha series, though; know it?
As far as that J&D thing goes. . . well, it's just annoying. I mean, diversity is one thing, but domination is another. And I know some fanfic authors get inspired by other fics they feel could be changed or improved, but you'd think there'd be a line somewhere, especially since most of the yaoi fics seem to have the same kinda plot.

I understand what you're saying, and I do agree with you, but the reason I ship J&D is not because of how popular it is, but because I think that, were Dax able to be turned back into an elf, they would be so adorable together.

I get what you're saying, too. But at no point have I ever thought two guys together were cute. So it's kinda like preaching to the wrong crowd, with me. 
Although that's probably because, in my personal opinion, guys aren't meant to be cute.

This picture is amazing. It's sweet and at the same time very sexy, that's hard to pull off. I love Torn/Ashelin to death but it's harder to find, especially with how Ashe was towards Jak in the third game. For the record, I firmly believe that she was just confused and overwhelmed with her new duties and everything else going on, she goes straight back to a patient Tattooed Wonder once she gets her brain sorted out. Oh I feel a fic idea coming on!
I also read Red Hot and whoa, I can not wait to read more. Again, there is not enough of these two. How often are you planning on updating the story?

I update as the ideas come to me -- whenever the mood strikes. Not to say that I don't have a plot (cause I do) but there's a lot of open space between plot points to fill.
I believe you're the forth person to tell me on dA that you read Red Hot. On which site do you read it, might I ask?
