You know I'm still working out the details on the Bomb gown and its non explosive counterpart the P.E.S.T gown but haven't bomb squads or other guys diffusing explosives used liquid nitrogen in the diffusing process? So maybe at least it could wreck the timer and shut it down.

Honestly, that would not kill Donna, she is as I said immortal. But it will lead to widespread devastation which could break her mind

I don't think she is, just EXTREMELY tough to kill. I plan to ask DracoDragite what could potentially do her in. I can think of one obvious one. EVERYONE, even Donna, needs Oxygen.

Well not everyone, waterbears don't, they just go into a stasis and can survive that way indefinitely.
I imagine something similar would happen to Donna.
If she were "suffocated" she would turn into a "sealed evil in a can" without the evil part of course. Being immobile and unconscious, but the moment conditions became acceptable she would spring into actions again.
No I think we need something far more serious if we want to actually kill Donna.
Something like throwing her directly into a star, or maybe even a black hole.
If she took the a point blank hit of an H bomb, her gooie interior would snap itself back together (just like when she was literally cut in half). It might be too much for her to handle psychologically, but physically it wouldn't kill her.
But of course, when we talk about immortality, we have to remember that there are three things that we die from, and an immortal person have to check off all three.
1) Senescence
Or ageing. A few animals like starfish have overcome this challenge, so this is the easiest thing to check off. Being a non-biological lifeform I am sure Donna passes this one.
2) Diseases.
Diseases, infections and poison is the other mayor killer, but due to her unique nature, I again doubt that she is able to be sick.
3) Trauma
This is the big one. Even a biological immortal being like a starfish, who never gets a disease are at risk of injury and death (they can and do get eaten for instance) But of all three this is where we have the biggest proof that Donna is simply trauma proof, nothing seems to hurt her or break her.
I am not completely sure about the other two, but she certainly passes condition number three. If she does pass one and two as well she have complete immortality, and thus will live to see the sun burn out. If she is not, if she is only invulnerable to trauma than she only have partial immortality, which might be less depressive.
I wouldn't mind living a thousand years but only if everyone else did too

Yeah here's the thing though. First off Black Chaos has designed this bomb gown with a piece of tech that neutralizes Donnas powers otherwise she could just make herself really thin and squeeze out the top thus negating the bombs effectiveness altogether. As for the bombs payload, it's thermite plasma which burns hotter than napalm and if what the next comic is showing Donna does not react well to heat. Still I plan to go to the man with all the answers himself because I admit our conversation has peaked my curiosity.

rphb In reply to Deviator101 [2020-04-05 12:21:17 +0000 UTC]
Well do that, but from what I have observed, her powers are only neutralised permanently. Thus I think she will snap back after it have exploded.
And sure she doesn't handle heat that well, but she doesn't burn she simply melt, and that is actually a good sign for her immortality, it means heat don't really harm her, it just incapacitates her.
If I had stood face to face with Cinterrealla I would have gotten third degree burns, Donna she just need to get away from the heat for a moment and she is fine.
I am actually more worried about the cold for her, because if heat makes her melt, than maybe cold will make her brittle, but based on her "biology" for lack of a better word, I am sure even that would only be temporary.

Unless she we're shattered ala T-1000 style and the parts were simply kept frozen. But that's a tad gruesome for DracoDragites style.

rphb In reply to Deviator101 [2020-04-05 13:32:01 +0000 UTC]
Again, that could incapacitate her, but she would come springing back the moment she was thawed.
As I said senescence and diseases, these are the two things that might get her in. And of these senescence is the one I have the biggest doubt about. As I don't know the exact nature of her transformation, there is a chance that her matter will deteriorate over time.
Her powers are first and foremost about regeneration. If it is a constant I would say one is checked off, and we can properly also do two at the same time. But if it grows weaker, than her lifespan would be limited. But this is not something I think will be addressed, as no one have the patience to wait a century to see if she ages.
Again here I can only really draw a parallel to Marvel's Wolverine, who also have regenerative powers and who doesn't age as a result. So I think it is impossible for her to die unless something very specific were to occur, such as a build in self destruct sequence.

rphb In reply to Deviator101 [2020-04-05 15:08:23 +0000 UTC]
I was talking about his senescence.
Remember there are three ways to die.
1) Senescence
2) disease and
3) trauma
If regenerative powers makes one immune to senescence and Donna have regenerative power, than ergo Donna is type one immortal.
We see from the comics that she can overcome any trauma so she is also type 3 immortal. For her to be fully immortal we simply have to also rule out type 2.

Got some info straight from the man himself. Here powers are dependant on her natural stamina and her healing factor takes ALOT. Also she does need to eat, breath and sleep like everyone else so my breathing argumentwas correct. He also mentions acid can hurt her so if she say fell into a vat of acid and couldn't get out in time then yeah she could die. Again this info comes from DracoDragite himself.

rphb In reply to Deviator101 [2020-04-05 19:40:35 +0000 UTC]
well than she can be killed by certain forms of trauma, but what about senescence that is the big one. If we could just cure ageing the average lifespan would rise to 3500 years, as that is how long it would be before we would get an incurable disease or a fatal trauma.
And based on how much trauma she can take, she will properly live to around 90 as she puts herself in a lot of unnecessary risk and if all that is required to kill her is a powerful acid than it is only a matter of time before she is dropped in one.
I am assuming thou refer to "the dip" www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFTJJnβ¦

Eh I assume he just means real nasty acid. I did ask about the aging thing and taking into account her mutation and the med tech available to the cubots (though I learned that they don't have access to the real impressive stuff) DD said that donna might live a little longer than than average. As for some of the other stuff you were talking about, I'm afraid a lot of it went over my head, sorry. Still it was good conversing with you.

rphb In reply to Deviator101 [2020-04-05 20:57:27 +0000 UTC]
Well as I said there are three (and only three) ways to die.
1) Senescence.
The act of body deterioration that is commonly known as ageing. I provided examples of animals that does not age so this is not an impossible goal.
2) Diseases & poisons. Infestation kills a lot of people, and as our bodies deteriorate we become more vulnerable for diseases.
Cancer is separate from a disease, and is actually connected to senescence. Cancer cells are immortal, so a cure for cancer and a cure for ageing is closely connected.
3) of course is trauma, which is not a psychopolitical event, but rather an acute damage to the body. Donna is most famous for being able to take almost any amount of beating as if it were nothing

I don't know about the whole "punching bag" thing but yeah she has gotten pounded more than once. The fight with TANK particularly stands out. However thanks to her new status as a metahuman she and what seems to be an inexhaustible source of positivity and determination she just seems to bounce right back. Sometimes literally.Β

rphb In reply to Deviator101 [2020-04-06 08:11:08 +0000 UTC]
well yes that is my point, she can take any amount of damage that she is dealt with, and bounces right back afterwards, just like a punching bag. Her offensive powers are limited, but her defensive powers are second to none, hence I have called her immortal. I have never seen anything that have been able to hurt her.

Got a ruling from DracoDragite on this scenario. Not to put to fine a point on it but if that bomb goes off and based on what thermite plasma does, she's dead. So she's not even close to what you've been describing.
