Hey guys, sorry it's not Harry Potter fanart, I have been distracted by other things. I am totally getting back into the cartoons that I grew up with as a kid, one of them which was recently turned into a live action film is Alvin and the Chipmunks, another was my all time favorite cartoon show ever when I was kid, Darkwing Duck, and the comic book characters that I grew up reading the Archies. Well on this site I ran into a club which I never even gave a thought of, Jughead and Betty. A t first I was like, come on, Jughead is a woman hater and Betty is only interested in Archie, but come to think of it, Archie is always ditching Betty whenever he has the chance to be with Veronica and who is there to cheer her up? Jughead! And I just realized that in the very early comics of the Archies, their were times when Betty would hit on Jughead! God I am so shipping these 2 now!Now for the pic, I chose color pencils which is really different than from the media you guys see me use. It's just that we (meaning my brother and I) have a huge collection of color pencils and they were just sitting around not being used, besides I missed the old fashioned media! For the style of Jughead and Betty, I based it on one of the Archie cartoon shows, "The New Archies". In that show, the characters are between the ages 12-14, that is why Jughead and Betty look kind of young in this pic. I really enjoyed making this and using the color pencils! Man that brought back memories when I used them as a kid and colored outside the lines! Anyways hope you like it! Go Jughead/Betty!

I have been seaching jughead and betty on google today and came across this page. Its great to know that some folks here also feel the same for these three people, archie being a jackass who'd leave bettie, bettie being a great loving person and a true friend, always getting ditched by that asshole archie and stuff. I always love to see jughead and bettie togther. I think if we all email archie comics about these two, they might even decide to do a whole story on them

Wow, I'm just one of the rare few that always wanted to see Betty and Jughead together. I remember one particular storyline where Archie had to stand Betty up on a date or something, and Jughead agreed to play his proxy. Betty was a bit unsure about going on a date with Jug, but he ended up taking her to an amusement park, and they had a great time. Since then, I've been hooked on the idea that they'd be great together!

Hey I think I've read that one, didn't Jughead mention something about being a "substitute date" and they have fun at the amusement park and when they are about to say goodbye Jughead kisses her? That was awesome. And yes, Archie is a jerk, I mean he would dump Betty anyday if Veronica came around, and Jughead being carefree and loves food and the fact that Betty loves to cook, I mean come on, perfect couple there! And in the early comics (1940's, 1950's) they creators did have Betty chase Jughead, but you know Jughead being anti-dating women comes up with excuses to avoid her.

There are few Betty and Jughead Fans (pretty much few Archie fans) it is cool to see someone else agreeing that Archie is a total jerk! I agree that Jughead is perfect for Betty!
