Finally, fanart! I have been so busy with college that I barely have time to do fanart for you guys! Well, it's official, I am a supporter to Jughead Jones and Betty Cooper being together! Archie is too much of a jerk, juggling with two girls Betty and Veronica, and whenever he ditches Betty when he has the chance to be with Veronica, Jughead is always there at Betty's side to cheer her up. Come on, they were made for eachother! So here is a fanart I did of the two, I know it may look simple than my other drawings but when you think about it, the style of the Archie comics looks simple yet for some reason I had trouble trying to master the style! I like how the pic came out, my only flaws is that I think the anatomy on both characters might be off and Betty's hands might look weird, I hate doing hands! Nice artwork. I recently check out some those married life comic books. Wish I had been reading them. I enjoyed it in my teenage years, and I still do now.

Jughead admitted in one strip that if he were to ever kiss a girl willingly, it would be Betty and in older comics, she was often seen trying to flirt with him. They won't ever end up together though, because the Archie love triangle is an essential part of the comics, but I do love their friendship.

And, Ethel was never Jughead's official girlfriend (I would know, I've been collecting since I was 7) , so it would be ok.

It certainly makes since for jughead and Betty to be together. But Jughead already has a girlfriend. Has everybody forgotten Big Ethel, the ugly duckling of Riverdale, who has been constantly pursuing Jughead? She's certain to be jealous and take action against Betty if she thinks she is stealing her boyfriend. It definitely will be a war for the ages!

i always notice that Archie only fights for Betty's attention when someone else seems to be getting hers. methinks that if it doesn't work with Veronica, Archie just wants a safety cushion around. Betty deserves better than that.

I collect early Archies, and in alot of early Archie's Pal Jughead Betty is on the cover hitting on Jughead. There is one where they are sharing a malt.

You know, romance isn't for everyone... I can see the reasoning behind this, but I don't think Jughead is really cut out for a girlfriend... he's more of a guy friend type IMHO. Cute picture though...

Heheh, it could even be on the reasoning that Betty likes to cook and Jughead likes to eat. Even if they got married, I could still see them acting like friends. Very few people are actually FRIENDS with their spouse.

There is a book called Archie Marries Veronica and if he's that stupid to marry Veronica who is way more demanding backstabbing and spoiled then Betty

Actually, the creators said that if they ever wanted to finish the Archie series, they'd have Betty be with Jughead. But they want to continue, and the comics wouldn't be the comics without that sometimes-sweet-sometimes-jerk-off Archie (sighs). I guess Betty is constantly going to be the second banana the way she always is. What a jerk triangle that is! (still, she clobers Archie so many times to make up for it).

I guess some people surprise you, my dad has collected the comics since he was a kid, and now my brother and I are starting a collection of our own, the Archies will never die! Did you know that they first came out in 1941? And they are still making them! That really amazes me, but yes, live on Jughead/Betty!
