Pros: Overall, I feel that this piece is very well thought out and stays true to the source material. The background is detailed enough so I can look at it and see what it actually is, but muddy enough to where it doesn't take my eye of the hero of the piece/foreground. The body language speaks well. Displays power and provokes emotion. A very well thought out piece.
Cons: There are a couple of things that bug me in this piece. First off, the lighting. Ruby's face is lit very well. But that is the only lighting that seems to be done well. The light source, at least looking at her face, is coming from the right, yet the cloth on her arm seems to be lit from above and the left. Then down to her body also seems to be lit from both directions. Then moving down to the synth seems to be lit from above. The lighting isn't bad by any means. As a former art student, I was forced to pay attention to things like these.
Second, the eyes. So nothing big here either, but something about the eyes just says...Mcree face (overwatch). I don't know what it is about them. In all honesty, it could also be the nose, but there is something a little off-putting about the eye area. It could also be the two strands of hair that fall between the eyes that get lost with her eyebrows.
Personally, I think this is an extremely well-done piece. A couple of small, annoying fixes could turn this wonderful piece into a phenomenal piece.
