'Yvaine' is a new version of a rather old drawing of mine, entitled 'Willow' ( [link] ).It was inspired in part by Neil Gaiman's book 'Stardust,' in which there is a girl named Yvaine who is actually a fallen star. This was also inspired by the artwork of *enayla and many other talented fantasy artists on this site.
This was painted entirely in Photoshop 7 with a Wacom Intuous2. Working resolution was around 2500 x 3000, so about twice what is posted here.
I spent many, many, many hours on this piece, so I'd love to hear what you think...

wow...i mean really, wow! she is very elegant looking. the designs on the wrist and ankles are very elvish. the look of the whole thing is very soft and comforting at how beautiful she is. excellent job! how could anyone not favorite this peice of art? keep up the good work!

Gaiman's Stardust is liable to be one of my favorites by him (Sandman will always be my favorite ), this is simply a wonderful piece.
I adore the wispy, velvety colors around her, and she's simply stunning. It's a most different approach from Charles Vess' own Yvaine. One minor complaint though, is her hair -- wasn't it longer? Not that it matters; this is a beautiful piece nonetheless.

SPOOKY! I too have read Stardust and produced an Illustration as a result! Yours is spookly similar to mine! It does create a picture of her in your head of her falling from the sky! Fantastic book, one of Gaimans better books.

the thing she waers is nice, but the body is out of proportion ( maybe its your style of drawing ). the face is not attarctive, the noce is too big so ad the forehead.
OK why didn't I just say " wow great job" that's because there was a complaint topic in that " wow great work " is not a constructive comment at all and hold no values for the artists. Besides those who can't do criticize.

stunningly spectacular, or spectacularly stunning? either way, this is amazing. I especially like her arms and legs, they almost looks like braces made of light.
