IΒ΄m sure she will have the same reaction. ItΒ΄s always a sweet surprise when someone draws something like this for you. Especially if youΒ΄re a big fan of that someone drew at your side. ^^
Good luck, even if I know you will not need it. SheΒ΄ll love it.

I really, really like the added color in the flowers for the border... it's blending so well with the black and white. (and, I love his hair, it looks soo soft!)

His hair looks a lot more realistic than you think it does! Sometimes with certain things in a drawing you have to take artistic liberties because we can't render exactly what we see and that's why we all develop our own unique styles. The way you draw hair in your portraits is one of the things that defines your style and and sets it apart from all the other portrait artists I've seen out there!

It is looking very good! I really like how your handling the scruff on his chin! It looks so scraggly yet soft and I kind of want to pet it lol. And, his expression is coming out great! HE looks like he really adores her! The only critique I have is as you continue on with "Bella" just be careful for how hard you draw the lines defining her chin. You want to make sure she has a soft, very feminine look to her. I think doing the flowers in a bit of color will be a nice touch and will help bring out the portraits a lot so your eyes are drawn directly to them.

i've drawn the line of her chis so hard because her hair is black and i wanted to see how her face would have turned out once i added the contrast with the hair... in the pic i have of her there is a lock of hair covering the right side of her chin, this is why i actually see it so marked, but i still haven't drawn that lock, and i'm undecided wether to draw it or not ^^ i hope the flowers will be good, i don't know if it would be better to ink the lineart or leave them as they are .. the effect i'd like to obtain is similar to this one [link] when i drew this piece i was so happy with how the daisies came out that i thought they were perfect to frame this picture, but i'm afraid that the inking part is important to get the same effect... it a great dilemma ^^

For some reason I can't see the link you sent me:/ (see if you can resend it to me... so I can see the reference:/) My suggestion with the lock of hair, is not add it in until you do the rest of her dark hair and do a little bit of her face... so you see it starting to come together a little more. After that if you think you need it for the composition you still have room to add it and then finish with the details on her face without it taking away from what you've drawn all ready. You can also work a little more on it then do a quick sketch on a piece of tracing paper and hold it over the piece, the sketch having the lock of hair in it and see if you think it would work compositionally. It's so hard to place hair correctly at times in a composition... but hair is definitely one of your strong points and I think it will work out fine once you get it placed.

I'm sorry :/ It's very hard when your trying to make presents, drawings always end up taking longer than we think they will when we start them. I know Christmas has passed now... but did you get everything done that you needed to?

I'd been wanting to ask you, what you were going to school for? Don't worry about the drawing not being very far done... look at how long "Oblivion" has taken me and it's still not finished lol. Especially with being in school you have a lot of work to do so taking your time will take the stress off.

I'm sure that will look nice, just don't make a too striking background and it will be fine <3

Looking great - awesome gift idea too! Pattinson is looking very well (recognizable I mean) as for the girl, I'm assuming it's looking great! I really like the 'frame' you've given it with the flowers - I think that's gonna look really cool once it's all shaded and everything.
