Well I suppose if you use it with Power Artifact it would be a real boost, because you're actually spending less mana to untap it. But lets face there is things like Mana Flare that helps out as easy.

yea I'm sure that combo letting your fireball win turn 2 or 3 led to it's banning in my deck IT WAS THE SNEAK ATTACK THAT WAS BROKEN. XD

Sneak Attack is good, but there's Elvish (Pied) Piper which works just as good.
And best thing with something like Mana Flare would make casting something like, oh I dunno Counterspell or Redirect so much funnier to see happen.

Elivsh Piper doesn't belch out many many dudes with haste that smash your face XD

(or put creatures in your graveyard for Living Death :3)
