I spent a lot of time on this picture because I wanted to see how much further I could push my coloring. I'm pretty happy with it ... I especially like how Link's pants wrinkle together towards his bent knee. And of course, the hapless beast amuses me. The reference that I used called it a Doku scrub ... is it supposed to be scrub or shrub??coloring and sketch (c) bluebug

oddly enough I came across your account while googling up some japanese terminology and since I myself have an account here I decided to see what kind of stuff you had only to find some good anime drawings and an overall very talented artist

Oops, sorry, I realize you were actually the colorer, but that in itself is amazing as that's mainly what is awesome about this picture. I'm looking at your coloring tutorial right now actually as I've always wanted to try my hand at coloring, but I've never been very good at it like this is. Sorry for the mistake, but still very well done in what you were trying to achieve.

Yeah, I love that little guy. When I started drawing it, I didn't think he'd turn out so cute. I was also surprised at how fun he would be to draw ... he's the first thing I've drawn entirely on the computer that I've actually liked

Thanks for clearing that up for me! I wonder if that's just a Japanese import typo/Engrish ... "scrub" is just too close to "shrub" for it to be coincidental. Never had a chance to play any of the Zelda games other than A Link to the Past. The new games look so cool though. The shots I've seen of Twilight Princess look mind boggling.

I own almost all of the Zeldas, I'm still missing Four Swords. (I dun count different version as a different game, like I have Link's awakening, but not Link's awakening DX, and so on). You REALLY should try to play Ocarina of Time. Minish Cap is beautiful, but surprisingly short.

I haven't tried drawing a real person for so long. The tough thing about that is that I'll show my artwork to my non artistic friends and since my work is cartoony, I get the "Ah, that's ... nice?" look.
I WISH I could play all the Zeldas. But I don't own a gaming system except for the first generation Nintendo. And my compy.
