I have absolutely horrific psychological and emotional scars from years of self-abuse.
Cutting is innocuous compared to the sort of other things I've done. It's terrible.
ST, I am so, so sorry to hear that you,and others, are hurting like this too.

Yeah. It makes me sad when people thing self-harm is just cutting, when that's not true. Most people who self-harm don't cut.
I used to self-harm a lot, yet I've never purposely cut myself and I have little to no physical marks to tell the story.

I think I have an understanding of this, and normally I don't offer, but you can note me if you want. (:

Depends on your definition of marking. If your definition of marking is just scarring, then yes, there are many ways. But there can be psychological marking, other forms of physiological marking, such as reducing a nerves ability to sense in the area (which is not necessarily from scarring).
But I think I see your point there, ST.

People just don't know. I wonder that everyday. Apparently some people can't take the hint.

Yah, the worst way people can hurt themself aren't physical.
Broken minds are worse then broken bodies.
