Wicked Cute
Owls are a favorite subject of mine. There were a variety of owls around this winter so, it was much fun to get out and look for them. I got lucky and clicked some good images of snowy's, a Barred Owl, and some Screech Owls (of which there were several around locally) A few, such as this adult red morphed Eastern Screech Owl, made for some easy targets by choosing nesting cavities near the road. I was more than happy to try out my new Nikon D750 on this snoozing football sized bundle of cuteness. I mean, really, should anything with talons and a beak designed for tearing flesh be that cute?
