That's right, I entered another contest. And I did another group pic. *hand falls off* Nah, I joke. I actually really like doing group drawings.I didn't have a lot of time to come up with something extra special for this contest since it was ending shortly after Sajhiri's. I also had work, which, yet again, ate up time. Plus I had trouble near the end when my wrist started to hurt, mainly because I overused it at work the day before. And I also had a lot of difficulty coming up with a border for the ring, and I'm still not pleased with what I ended up with, but it still looks better than empty space.
Blah, anyway, I really liked Orasteele's characters and I didn't really want to draw just one or several by themselves. The people I had the most trouble with were Strego (the one with the top hat) and Spicata (the one in the kimono) and Interpretation (the ninjaey looking one). There were no reference pics for any of these characters, and there wasn't even a description of Interpretation, we, the contestants, had to come up with his look completely. That was a challenge. I hope that he comes close to what she was looking for. Don't even get me started on how much trouble I had with the vulture up top. O.O; Yet again I didn't shade. Why? Because I still suck at it and no way was I going to take a chance.
And if you are wondering, it is a cuttlefish on top of the center character's head. Orasteele said she liked vultures, cuttlefish and cats, so that's what she got. *nods*

I really like what you've done here, Desna--it's very sharp and natural-looking. I would say that you should be careful with the black on Strego (the color has a different texture than the rest of the piece). Strego's arm also looks a little awkward to me.
I love the ninja guy and the girl in the center, especially how they're interacting with the border. All in all, I think this is pretty darn cool. ^_^

I had a lot of trouble with Strego's arm. I think I redrew it 30 times and hated every one of them. I'm still not happy with it, but I didn't have a lot of time left to keep working on that one thing.
