Princess Consort, or Queen, Elissa Theirin has found herself pregnant by some chance of fate or perhaps magic. She and her king, Alistair, are both Gray Wardens and have been told that they would not be able to continue the royal bloodline. But somehow she has conceived and as the months have passed the Darkspawn Taint which resides in her blood, Alistair's blood and now their child's blood, torments her day and night. Nearing the end of bearing her child the visions and delusions begin to take over her mind as she fears another Blight is already upon her land, and she takes up arms. The pounding, throbbing pain that wracks her mind is nearly too much to bear...
