Here's a prop I made for my pirate costume when I go to faires and festivals. The handle is a turkey leg bone, the tails are all braided leather.Related content

You forgot the barbs on it but still....a Cat of nine tails was always a mean whip...i like them.

The knots serve well enough as barbs for my taste. It still has to be legal to carry around faires without needing little sheaths on each and every tail end.

lol with those knots at the end it will gouge the flesh eventually, but used lightly I doubt it would do much harm

I did. It really wasn't all that time consuming. Someday I'll take the time to learn to plait braid, THAT will be a monster of a project
