Yet, beneath all the failures and defeat, there lay a deeper truth, calling out to her.
It has been far too long since I last posted some personal work, so I'm really excited to show you the first painting done for my personal project Veritas, an illustrated storybook set in a whimsical world of witches, magic and mystery. Meris, a curious witch, is trying to decipher and follow a recipe in an ancient potion book with...questionable results.
I would also like to take this opportunity to let you all know that I am now on patreon!
Patrons will get to see a step-by-step process with descriptions detailing how I painted this from start to finish! Higher tiers also receive layered psd files and high-res jpgs.

Beautiful and exquisite work. The lighting is effective. The cat looks very real, as if he is about to move. The perspective is impressive, a complicated composition made to look effortless. The scene is quite cosy but has a sense of the uncanny also. Really good job.
