For the gorgeous and talented who should have more faith in the gorgeous work she creates

The body was airbrushed in several different shades of custom mixed creams and brown before I laid down the lacework (also done with my airbrush) in more custom mixed shades. I was trying to create a pony with a very melancholy look - I wanted her to look like lacework which had been left abandoned in some dilapidated victorian era manor... very old and faded.
Parts of her body were left 'unlaced' to create a particular look.

The lotus flower was a challenge, as detail painting is something I am never happy with, so I really pushed myself with this pony to improve my techniques. While I'm relatively happy with the end result, I definately want to continue to practice and improve.

All paintwork is done with artist grade acrylics before being sealed with dullcote, Gloss modpodge and triple thick gloss in different places.
Hair is a very simple blend - Honeysuckle, buttercream and marshmallow all from dollyhair. I wanted the hair to be very simple so it wouldn't detract from the body nor overpower it. I debated curls for a while, but really like her hair straight like this.
