Description Oh this is shameless fanart, but I gave myself a real artistic challenge with this one.

The idea was to take Tempo, a character from Jim Francis' (Arioch) Outsider webcomic, and put her in the guise of another science-fiction universe. Given Tempo's calm, cool discourse and general sneakiness and being a member of the Mizol, an intelligence/covert-ops division of her people's military, I thought she'd be fantastic as a Bene Gesserit.

So here she is with a haze of spice-blue to her red eyes, the gom jabbar, and the Box of Pain. I re-interpreted the garb of a B.G. and decided it would be interesting, rather than giving her a simple flowing black gown, to put her in a two-piece outfit that recalled Dune's ancient-future splendor.

Then I decided "If I'm going to do this, I'm going to do this at a higher level of quality than usual." So...here we are.

Around 6 hours' work split across two nights in a row on Photoshop CS3 with a Wacom Intuos3 6x8 tablet.

I have a Star Trek Ensign Beryl with a Tribble piece which is actually the first in this series, and another of Stillstorm as a Grand Admiral from the Star Wars EU. Both will go up soon-ish, maybe tonight.

I'm not familiar with this character, but the art is great.

Thank you.

Outsider isn't very long, about all of 78 pages long as Jim Francis' update schedule is a bit, shall we say, varied. However, the quality level of the comic's writing and imagery is top-notch and worth the brief read.
