The prompt I received was "Young Luke meets a girl, and asks the Professor for love advice". I kinda took liberties with it since the whole love advice part ended up not being the focus, peheh.

Thanks a lot! Of course, there's a pending part two as well, just like this comic so when I've got that posted, I link it to its relevant picture. I'm not sure about the ending of it actually...I wanted Luke to say, "More time for puzzles!" just like in the comic, but right now he doesn't say that because it kinda detracts. *dies of indecision* xD (And I also was considering a follow-up, where the professor asks Luke how it went...Blah, too many ideas )

Really, it was so much fun to do and no trouble at all. Like I said once I'm satisfied with part two then I'll link that as well.

Anyway...I think I've looked at both of these about twenty times now and I still adore the idea as much as the first time I saw it.Β Β It's just so adorable and I love how Luke goes to the professor for advice and the professor...totally fails. Β It's just so like him!Β

Thank goodness I haven't had any major spoilers for Azran (aside from the one at the end of the UK trailer like wth Nintendo why would you put something like that in a trailer!!!!!!)

Well, thankfully I sort of already knew this spoiler in question but... gah. It just ruined it more, seriously. Β 

Oh no! NEVER watch the trailers!! I only watch them after I've finished the game in question because they reveal so much... (I almost ruined Diabolical Box because I started watching a trailer before I was done with the game! Since then I've avoided the trailers until after the fact. ;D) The frustrating thing is that I've been so careful for this game and I've had so much spoiled for it so far, it's ridiculous!Β  Β

I couldn't resist since I can't get the game till so much later OTL It's so unfortunate when you take all precautions and extra to avoid spoilers but people insist on being careless and shove them in your face SIGH. -__-

Oh yeah no kidding...I'm just about counting the days down until I can buy it. So it's...97 days now? 97 or 96, I can't remember. I had this crazy idea of writing a PL one-shot for every one of those days (because when I put the release date into a online countdown, it came up as 100 days), but then I decided not to get too carried away. I could never seek out spoilers consciously myself...I find it far better to just experience the whole thing on my own. (Though you have no idea how close I was to ordering PL6 from the UK because I knew they were getting it first...until I learned the 3DS is region locked. You know, I actually think it'd be way cool to experince the games "unedited" in Japanese...well, if I understood Japanese that is. But I do know that the language is slightly edited for dubs...and I think playing them as they were originally intended...oh my gosh, it just sounds so cool! I'm not a freak! )

And yes, I am TOTALLY in the middle of writing a fic based off of this. It needs some editing though; I want it perfect. I'll let you know when I'm finished; I'll give you the link and everything. ;D

One question though...is the kid who knocked Luke over...is he the same one with the cute girl Luke likes on the second page? Because that would just be the irony of all ironies I think. Poor Luke.

Wow, writing a one-shot per day?? That's kinda crazy! Once a week would suffice if I were you! Being a student/adult is so time consuming... XD


For me, one of my greatest desires is to have all Japanese games retain the Japanese dub, with English subs instead. I feel like the Japanese voice actors retain so much of the characters' personalities that cannot sufficiently translate over to English. Chris Miller does a bang up job of Layton, but other than that, I much prefer the original Japanese dub. It's too bad that this option never gets considered.


Oh gosh no, the bully and the girl's sweetheart are totally different people, haha! Looking back at it now (Wow it's almost two years since I drew it!!) I can see the similarities and can only curse the same-face syndrome that plagues my art even till now XD

Ah yes. Blah, why can't everyone have the game at the same time? They do it with plenty of games, don't they?

(Lol, I'm so obsessed that I've got my seven year old brother hooked too...and seriously right at this second, he's telling me who each person in our family should be for Halloween next year. He's telling me that I could be Layton, he could be Luke... )

Yes, you see why I quickly dismissed the idea.

Oho! Now there's a suitable compromise! Though I think it'd be even cooler if I could just understand it, subtitles or not...because I believe even those could be flawed, oh ho ho. (Ohhh man, that is so true. The games certainly wouldn't be the same without him! )

Haha, I actually suspected they were two different people, so no worries. I suppose we'll see what happens when I get there; I've only written the first page so far. ;D
