"Ya know, Daddy, y're pretty big. An' Mom's big, too. Ah often wonder why y'all are so big, an' Ah'm that tiny."
"Big ponies own a big heart, Jackie. Didn't mommy tell ya?"
"Well, yes, but it'd sounded silly. It makes a bit more sense now that two ponies have said it."
"It's good to know that a thing Ah've said makes sense. That's probably the secon' time in mah life somepony tells me. Such a good feelin'."
"Well Daddy, prepare yerself to the great sadness y'll feel when Ah win in a race in those fields over there!"
"Ohhh, Ah really don't think so, lil' girl."
"W-Why? Dontcha wanna play with me?"
"Oh, Dearest, Ah'd love to, but, well, the grass in those fields is a bit too... tall fer ya."
"Y're saying Ah'm too short?! AH'LL PROVE Y'RE WRONG!"
(watches her galloping through the tall yellow grass)"Oh, Goddesses. Ah'm gonna be so dead when Clover finds out our daughter's lost in a cornfield-"
"HEY! Where's the path back? That ain't fair! No race is fair if not run on a path! DADDY! YA CHEATED! NOW COME BACK HERE!!"
"Maybe Ah could ask June if she lets me sleep in her doghouse."

(just to remind you and not cause any confusion: I chose Applejack's parents' names from Orwell's Animal Farm: they are Boxer Quince Apple and Clover Apple; Granny Smith (Apple Tart) is Clover's mother; Big MacIntosh, Jacqueline Golden Apple (J, Jackie, AJ, Applejack) and Wild Strawberry Bloom (Apple Bloom) are their children)

I desperately wanted to do something 'bout AJ's parents, and now that I've read by accident my own story for them, I can't wait to hold my pencil and start something again. I love my ideas, sometimes. Aaaanyway, I have to say I'm pretty -very- proud of how this one came out, I began loving it right from its sketch and I personally didn't even hope it would've become so beautiful, at least in my opinion. My favourite thing is probably Boxer's slight beard - I didn't want to do it at first but then figured it would make him a bit more handsome :3 Also, I took the freedom to change a little his design: I lighted his coat, changed slightly his mane style, added the beard, the white spot around his eye and the white list from his muzzle to his forehead. Lately I'm literally in love with draft horses, so mighty and graceful at the same time. I really should draw these guys more often.
