im having a problem with the gaussian blur. when i do it, it blurs my whole lineart (i have layers) im such a noob at this ><
π: 0 β©: 2
Dawn-Shade In reply to AkuyaHaruchi [2013-04-04 14:21:46 +0000 UTC]
make sure when you do the blur, the lineart layer is NOT active.
blur at the color layer instead

im having problems getting the supernova working instead of getting that nice dark pupil im getting a uber bright light
π: 0 β©: 1
Dawn-Shade In reply to Laticauda-colubrina [2011-05-12 01:59:09 +0000 UTC]
maybe it's your supernova settings are too big, or your layer mode, or bad eye colors.
you can always skip that supernova thingy and add strokes manually with brush.

wow, just 1 step from this tutorial answered a questions i had FOREVER
"grow your selection so the edges arent ugly"
i have the HARDEST time with making the edges look good in coloring--- but the answer was so simple! haha thanks to you i dont have to frustrate myself with that again!!! LOL!!!

Dawn-Shade In reply to 2strange4urowngood [2011-03-18 04:30:11 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, my friend also don't know how to color with fuzzy tool, he always select it with pen tool because the edges are ugly if you select it with fuzzy tool.
Until I tell him about this trick...

I got a problem with the supernova effect :s
when i apply it its all white
π: 0 β©: 1
Dawn-Shade In reply to Saria48 [2011-01-31 12:32:53 +0000 UTC]
All white? You mean just the supernova layer or the entire pic?
π: 0 β©: 1
Saria48 In reply to Dawn-Shade [2011-01-31 15:34:01 +0000 UTC]
not exactly, when i used the super nova in the layer above the eye layer (the one with color...) the eye looks all white, and when i multiply it theres no change.
Like if the only yhink i did was create a new layer where the eye is white.

maybe your supernova plugin is missing.
Check with this:
Create a new Image, fill with some color. Then, apply supernova there. Did the nova shown up?

yes.. it worked...
I just don't know what happend whit the other one x3

Dawn-Shade In reply to Saria48 [2011-02-02 06:43:36 +0000 UTC]
Hmm.. weird.
My best advice is: create the supernova on new image, then copy it to your eye. Or just forget the supernova effect and draw strokes yourself.

I don't see anything wrong..
What happens if you remove that layer?
What are your layer arrangement?
You can also skip the supernova effect, and draw it yourself.

Originally I thought paths would be difficult and unnecessary to use, but after playing with it a bit I realize it's actually much easier than trying to freehand it. I can get to the "grow" step, but after that, my fill tool won't work -- on ANY of my layers. Are there some other settings I'm supposed to change?
I think I'm also using 2.6, by the way.
Thank you so much for making these...

Have you tried other tools? Sometimes, i just use a supersized brush to fill an area.

LynnyLiz In reply to Dawn-Shade [2011-01-10 04:39:33 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, those work. I forced myself to play with the program more, and I'm starting to figure it out.... I have to say, so far I can't complain. I like it.
Thanks!
