not bad! not bad at all! i think the proportions are a bit of though. if she stood up this would be one large lady also her right hand is a bit big and manly and the pose is a bit stiff...as if she's not really leaning on that tree. I like the background a lot though. very well done. and tattoos are cool, good sense of form

Very good observations! Indeed her proportions are off and her pose, in general, looks unatural... I started this as a portrait drawing and then I added the body and then the background... I didn't work on it like an overall composition, like I shoud have and adding the fact that I'm not very skilled yet, this is the result...hehe. Thank you for the feedback!

ah i see...yes I tend to do that as well and then it all falls apart it's the one very annoying bad habit isn't it!? and don't worry you'll get there in fact i just checked your gallery and you're doing a great job imo. just keep going and keep learning new things. start with the thing that you feel you suck the most at...and go on from there.

First of all... Β‘CONGRATULATIONS! you have just left me mouth open.
Every single detail is just beautiful. I could touch the leaves that fall from the border where the dryad sits at. There you did a great transition between total black and lights.
Just the water around the foot immersed, which may cause circles when perturbing the surface. And, you could add more light to the face of the dryad, it seems to be a little bit flat on the forehead.
The hair, colors, textures and nature are just amazing. The tattoos made it great too!
Now, the eyes of the creature hidden in the shadows gave me the creeps.
Pure magic, and congratulations again.

Thank you for the wonderful comments!! I'm really glad you like it! I see what you mean about the face, I'll try to fix that a bit. I had some thoughts about drawing water circles around her immersed foot, but then again I decided to leave it as it is, like if the circular waves have already faded and the water is calm again...

How about Sunrasy/ a strong shadow of the leafes fromt he trees'? would give it a big effect D:
and reflection in the eyes make a character always more living

The tatoo is really well done great design ( i know) and well drawn great !
Dryades often have leafes on their body, btu she si completely naked, and how about a flower on the head'?
and they often have a pet, a bear or a wolf, on her left arm , she could be having a pet

anyway its great and seeing this im again, full of ideas

Yeah the shadows that you mention would give a nice effect, but the matter is that she's not illuminated by sunlight. It's more like a magical lighting that surrounds her, so there can't be any shadows like the ones you mean...

The reflection in the eyes... thank you for reminding me that dude, I had forgotten to put highlights on her eyes! (problem solved now...)

I don't know about the leaves, but she does have a flower on her head and a pet. There's a small flower on the left side of her head and there is a "pet" hiding in the darkness beneath her... If you take a look at the lower left corner of the picture you'll see a pair of eyes staring at you...haha

hmm didnt saw those GREEN eyes , red eyes would have been better^^ dont know animals with green eyes xD
And a animal should be the companion of her, but that looks really just like a pet, maybe a new one.
