Story: House Serlow was once a great House and held Tryfort until one of the other great houses of the Province of Gateway, the Uhrgoals murdered Lord Gregor Serlow in his sleep and took the castle for themselves. The heirs to House Serlow survived and escaped the massacre and took refuge in the nearby villages to regain their power. Some of the houses that were allies to the Serlows offered help and refuge, but refused to launch an attack against the Uhrgoals out of fear for their own people and fear of the King's retribution. However, the Serlows were not ready nor willing to give up their ancestral home, so they gathered as many soldiers and supporters as they could and waited. Lord Trent Uhrgoal's son was to be married next summer, so they had to wait. When the wedding came, they dressed up as merchants and villagers wishing to see the wedding and to participate in the feast. When the Lord and his people had had enough and went to bed, the Serlow supporters and the three Serlow boys used the hidden passages in the Lord's Keep to sneak up into the towers and murdered every single Uhrgoal in their beds. The Uhrgoals were so drunk they never even made a sound as they were butchered, House Serlow took back their castle, the Tryfort, and changed their banners as well as their words. The three bloody swords represent the three Serlow boys that took the Tryfort back, and the new motto sends a message to everyone that refused to help them in their need. The Serlows do not need help if it is not given freely, they can fight their own wars. And win.
