Description
A close-up of the pendant necklace that Karia wears.
When news of the tragedy that befell Agnese and her daughter reached the Magic realm, skilled Mages came together to create something for Karia that could help protect her, and remind her that she has allies looking out for her. The base is pure gold, and at its center, Karia's dragon form is depicted in a lapis lazuli stone. Interestingly enough, this dragon was actually composed of obsidian to begin with; but contact with her DNA transformed the stone's properties completely, to better match her unique blue scales. The gaps in between the dragon's body are inlaid with a glowing red opal-like mineral not found in the human world.
Overall, this pendant keeps Karia from dealing with some of the mental and physical suffering of being forcibly spliced with a bloodthirsty dragon. The main property being, it will prevent her from literally burning up from the inside out. Even the chain itself is enchanted, so that if it is stolen or missing, she can summon it back with a quick incantation - given that it isn't being hexed or imprisoned in a magic barrier.
However, Karia has been warned that the magic will not last forever, and she cannot become dependent on it to keep her safe. She must learn to harness her magic abilities and control the rage of the Helldrake within her, so that someday the pendant will be little more than a decoration and a relic to tell of her adventures.

Gems
While the fire ruby signifies how Karia can now breathe the flames of a Helldrake, all four of the main realms are depicted through the other gemstones: Spiritual, Magic, Nether and Earthly. They also represent different aspects of Karia herself. She is protected by spiritual energies, so they are above her. She originates from the Earthly realm, but she must face away from it if she is to move forward. The blue topaz represents how she has power over ice magic, and how, at the core of her being, she has more magical prowess than she realizes. Finally, while she has remnants of the dreaded Nether realm inside of her, she flies above it and mustn't let it overtake her.
Every aspect of the pendant's gemstones also holds a little bit of their own magic, but only temporarily.
The ruby helps protect her with a spell that keeps her from being burned by her own fire. Over time, her body becomes more immune to being burned, so this magic fades.
Similarly, the blue topaz in the center keeps her from being badly frostbitten if she uses her ice for too long.
The diamond at the top has magic that can allow her to see spiritual presences around her and communicate with them.
The emerald can help guide her in the direction of magic doorways that can lead her back to Earth.
The purple gem is a Scapolite, and uses a minimal amount of black magic to keep her location hidden from her pursuers.

Runes
The gold itself is inlaid with Celtic embroidery, as well as several runes meant to symbolize what the Elven Council, along with other leaders of their world, foresee in Karia's adventure, depending on what path she ends up taking.
