Description
Gondolin was known for its beautiful fountain in the middle of the city. I represented this as a cascading fountain in azure celeste (treated as a metal as the USAF does). It was also protected by the Echoriath--the encircling mountains--thus the ring. As it was a place of peace protected from the devastation outside, I represent that as the green within and the grey without. This design went through so many revisions, and I'm still not perfectly satisfied with the fountain. Most fountain symbols I've seen show the fountain without the water flowing, or they only show a spout of water. Worse, some just show a circle with wavy lines inside. I may end up revisiting this design later.
