These are a bunch of alchemy sketches i photoshopped
nothing very refined this time but i hope you guys are ok with it

Alchemy is a freeware sketching tool! its vector based and allows for very random and chaotic shaped silhouettes and sketches

Your friend said that? Without trying to be too rude, your friend knows too little about the concept art business. Time is money. Any tool that might speed up the process is worth the minutes it saves you in coin. There's no "slacking" involved, at all; only the proficiency of the user - or lack thereof.

These are really cool.
The bottom left and middle make me think of the mech from the anime 'Neon Genesis Evangelion' a little.

alright, now be serious. i saw something along these lines also posted under alchemy, and I was under the impression alchemy was a bit like medieval chemistry mixed with some early european mysticism. is this a different alchemy, or is there a series of some kind? or is it just a tag of your own design?

so the grey sketches were done in alchemy and the right ones are the results after much photoshopping

Have they started developing this for iPad yet? There was a conversation about it a few years ago. I understand the API framework is different, but the newest iPad certainly would be strong enough to run Alchemy if the program was rewritten in C.
Somebody needs to get up on that.

as far as i know it wont be developed for ipad. since its all java based? the admin at al.chemy.org is currently working on an advanced alchemy version with nome cool features. i do own an ipad too... but sadly i wont have that joy to get alchemy on there as well
seems that other new upcoming tablets will be the lucky ones
