From top down:1. Lyrrehn snuggling her newborn baby. Who couldn't love that little guy, eh?
2. I'tsarlan should've remembered to tie his hair back. You don't get to be fabulous and have a toddler at the same time, sorry about that.
3. Tsaro is telling Tama about who he is, who his parents were. Tama is the only person who'll listen to the bouncy teenager....and he's starting to believe him.
Some shaded sketches that I threw a bit of color on. Hope everyone enjoys, I know I did!

Very much so. I write a series of novels, these are from the fourth and fifth ones. The art I do so that I can illustrate scenes I've written or am planning to write, or just to be able to see them with my waking eyes, and describe them better.

Thanks! Yeah, I always have drawn Itsy looking rather fabulous, he was once a very powerful person, but lately I've gotten to the part in the story where he's getting taken down several notches. Having a kid helps that along. XD

YEEE! It looks so fantastic all colored and beautified and everything! Tsaro is just so cute, and of course that top picture is just...so very touching on so many levels. And of course Tama's face still cracks me up to no end. Poor poor Itsy, he just can't help but keep his hair long and beautiful even if it is a magnet for any small child in the nearby vicinity!

Hehe, thank you for the luffly comments! And yeah, Itsy's been looking pretty raggedy in recent illustrations. I rather prefer him after he's been totally humbled, he finally starts to understand after that exactly what he did to Ras Tila. Their lives kinda start to resemble each other there toward the end of the story, being in hiding with their families and learning what's really important. Guess it's poetic justice what happens to Itsy in a sense, but it just makes me sad.

I just love the emotions you put into these characters- it always comes across as a legitimate, deep feeling that almost makes you forget they aren't real.

To me, they're real in a way I can't quite describe. I cry for and fret about these guys all the time, and try to express the souls that share mine through my art and writing.
