Andromeda Galaxy - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andromed…Taken Sept 23, 2014 at Cave Run Lake State Park near Morehead, Kentucky.
A color image this time of this Galaxy. I posted a BnW a number of months back. Finally did a color image using the same sub frames taken the night of the camera work at Cave Run Lake.
80mm f7.5, 3 element refactor. 4 of 4 minute exposures. 3 of 3 minute exposures. Making a 25 minute total exposure. 80mm, f/7.5 Russian Telescope. 600mm focal length. Sony DSL camera. a5000. None guided. The mount I used does not have a guiding port. I was lucky and got great 4 minute and 3 minute exposures without guiding. This mount rocks. Older SP Vixen.
I wanted to shoot 16 to 20 exposures but the night closed in. Very cold and moisture started forming on the scope faster then I could remove it. So I think the color is not all that bad for the small number of sub exposures.
Darkroom work with Lightroom post stacking.
