Description
"A thousand years ago I was betrayed but one I thought was a friend and another whom I thought was a sister. . . now that I have been brought back as this hell spawn I know better, and I seek my revenge!"A contest entry (if I submit it) for MGC . The contest for this month was, "Gargoyle Super Heroes". As you can tell from the image, I decided to do a play off of Spawn ^^
This piece took me FOREVER to color! At least 5 hours! But, at least I got it done in time for the contest ^^

Yeah, it was one of my favorites as well. My wife has been buying me the DVD sets each year for my birthday (they release them in December and my b-day is the same month, so it works out). I have one old sketch of my fan gargoyle, Jack (named after Jack Daniels, he was housed by a bar tender in New Orleans who owned a bar called the Gothic Door. There was Jack, Midori (my wife's character, named after a Midori Sour), Yager, Cutter (cutter red) and the garg dog was named Bud (Budwiser). They even had a cat named Bicardi.)

if you're refering to the greenish glow outlining some of the muscle structure . . . it took about three different colors and a smudge and blending tool. the places I wanted the green highlights I picked out the base green color (it was a yellow-green), then I went back with a darker green (close to an olive green), and then the highlights of the highlights were a yellow. I smudged it all together (trust me, it took awhile to make it all look right) and then used a blending tool to smooth it all together. Other than that. . . .practice and patients ^^

heh, I'm sure you could do it if you tried ^^ all it takes is time and patience (trust me, I had to take several breaks while doing that or I would have drove myself bonkers!)
