So I couldn't remember who you were because it's been forever and a half since I've been on DevArt, and I was trying to figure out how you showed up on my messages, and then I read the title and I heard your voice in my head saying it. It was a little creepy. But mostly just funny, because you sounded adorable.

No problem! And I thought I was good. Your awesome with porportions but I guess that just takes time and practice. I've been drawing/painting portraits for 4 or 5 years and my porportions are still off.

well, i use a trick or two
the best one i found is i draw one object first
(ex. nose)
and then ill line up all the other things on the face with that object
(another ex. the corner of the eye is in line with the outside of the nostril and that bump on the bridge of the nose)
and i just kinda work my way out from there
but thanks, proportions i think are the single most important thing to the art besides an idea (if the skeleton of the piece is off, it doesnt matter how pretty the skin is

haha. What you explained to me is exactly what my highschool art teaher would always say. I kind of do the same thing. I start with the eyes then work around that. And I look at shadows and shapes rather than the object itself. My art teacher would always tell me that there are no lines on a persons face just shades.
