This is the unfired pieceim going to attempt to color it in a raku firing, but will probally fail
so just in case, this will be it in its prettiest state until then
Its a bowl thrown on the wheel then cut, shaped, and shaved into an abstract form of a flower bud opening

Wow...pretty cool. I tried using the wheel and I can't seem to make a stupid bowl!! lol But anyway nice job! I love the idea! (fire it and glaze it so you can post the final result!)

i really like this, have you thought about just firing it with a white slip? with something that has such great form like this, you shouldnt take away from the details and shadows by adding too much color, i really like this.

i have the same thoughts... though i reallly need some where to study a bit more about finishing techs, cause my 'free-study' pratices without any real guidance arent working out to well

i would just make a much of test pieces. just get small bits of clay and experiment with finishes, thats the best way to learn and you wont mess up any finished pieces
