You totally should! And I know how you feel, with people not knowing. When I was at the pre-showing of the Hobbit, my friends and I were asked what our favourite part of the universe was (by the cinema people, you could win some stuff if you answered some questions), and I answered the story of Luthien and Beren. And all six of my friends had no idea who they were ._. (nor did the cinema people, but hey, no one would expect them to.)¨

If dwarves are just teenage girls, it explains so much. Thorin wasn't royal or grumpy. He was probably just a hormonal teenage-girl.

They definitely do. I'm pretty sure their feet are normal sized, but they all bought uggs because they are the next big thing in Middle-earth. yes.
Did I not tell you? If you don't draw Tony Stark's eyelashes, they crawl up from the depths and devour you as you sleep.

I KNOW. I especially love how Beren gets captured basically right away on his quest to be all noble and get the silmarills and stuff and Luthien has to be the badass one who rescues the damsel in distress. GOOD STORY. Thanks!!! I'm drawing more now >.>;

(plus just maybe I'm cosplaying Thorin in the future..... aaahhhhhh I re-watched the movie and spent the whole time distressing over making that armor)

I definitely need to reread the Similarion since it's been a few years at least. I have a gorgeous copy at home that I have to remember to grab next time I'm there.

I've been kinda maybe tempted to make a Kili costume for the next movie premier. We'll see if that ends up working out or not though.

YOU SHOULD! Because I want to have a dwarf army at the next American con I am able to attend (this will probably not be until the 3rd movie premiers....). I was jumping back and forth between characters. Kili was my second choice, but his wig wouldn't be a challenge at all. So I decided Thorin. And it is probably going to kill me.

Also you should join my Elf group. We are pouring our hearts and souls into gorgeous elf costumes with hand embroidery and stuff. And then we are going to walk around with red solo cups and shutter shades and pretend to be part of a party frat. (this is with Leslie, so you know the costumes will be quality XD)

Haha, well, if it's for the third movie, I should have time to put something together then. I totally don't mind a non-challenging wig, lol. I do however need to find some decent shots of his costume eventually.

And that would also be fun! I've always wanted to make a LotR related elf costume since back when Fellowship came out.
