Description
From a series of portraits from Jejuri's somvati amavasya gathering at the temple.One of the holiest places in Maharastra.
When a No Moon day falls on Monday it is observed as Somvati Amavasya. And is considered an auspicious occasion by the Hindus.
Thousands of devotees gather in the temple courtyard, and play with the yellow turmeric powder. It is an amazing experience.

This is a wonderfully angled shot but the dull cast that is over it turns me off a bit from the photo, did you try boosting the contrast at all?
Also it seems that part of the subjects face if out of focus, was that by mistake?

focus was on the hand, her face was almost in the same plane, but she moved back
As for the contrast, i wanted it to have a very low contrast look.

There were hundreds of ppl walking between me & her. Making it very tough to get a shot.
