10 year old wolf x malamute. Mid content.Amadeus was bought by 2 drug dealers to be a guard dog. However, wolf-dogs make terrible guard animals - Amadeus didn't bark and was afraid of people.
Because of this, they kept him on a 3 foot chain and starved him for 2 years of his life. When he was rescued, he was terribly underweight, had sores on his back end from being unable to move, and the chain that they had tied around him had grown into his neck and had to be surgically removed.
He is now doing much better, but still remains skittish around most people.
Wolves are wild animals, not pets.

It makes me sad to read about what had happened to him before...people just don't think at all *scowls*. But just from the photo, you can tell that the rest of his life was one big happiness after another.

It seems that once they get too hard to handle, people just want to lock them away and forget about them..

That is a shame indeed.. poor pups... I've done a great deal working with abused dogs and helping rehabilitate them at a local shelter.It just breaks my heart to learn of the things people can do to animals.
