Hi, I just wanted to know if it's early to mid 14th century. I am looking for some styles from 1300-1350

Are you interested in purchasing a pattern? I drafted it myself. I could draft you one if you'd like. Of course, there would be a cost. Please send me an email: daisy@daisyviktoria.com

Oh that wonderful 14th century. Did you weave your own trims and belt on an inkle loom? This is a lovely photo.

Thank you! I actually purchased the trim. I chose it because it looks so much like inkle woven trim. I've since taken up tablet weaving, and it's so much fun! I hope to start using a lot of my own trims in the future.
Do you weave as well?

Great minds think alike. Inkles rock!

Tablet weaving? Whoa! That is a challenging technique to master! How many cards are you using? I have a colleague at the Medieval village where I demonstrate wick dipping. She can handle six as easily as changing channels on a television set. They make the best garters, with so many patterns!

I studied weaving in college, I am an art major and really loved my weaving and dying class. I really want to start card weaving and acquire, or build an inkle loom. Great for logic, and art exercises. You have to use both sides of your brain.

Cheers, and Happy All Hallows Eve!

That's so awesome!
I've done patterns using 8-20 cards so far. I also love the mixture of logic and art. (:

I've heard looms aren't too difficult to make. I bought a little one from Pine Box Traders, which is serving me quite well, though I think I will eventually want a bigger one.

Happy All Hallows Eve to you as well!
