tutorial! well more like helpful tips..will I ever have any secrets!I kept getting notes asking for my fur brushes..so I didnt out right tell you how to make them, but this gives you more than enough info^^ besides, my fur brushes arent any different than anybody elses fur brushes or anybody elses hair brushes
I just felt like explaining brushes, they are fun!
and I swear to god if anybody attempts anything like the picture at the bottom I will reach through this computer screen and *mumbles* The Photoshop grass brush was enough punishment.
there is no shortcut for good art
it still takes effort but we can use things sometimes to help out and make things easier.I only use leaf brushes as guidelines, I color over them later or I use them in the background where they arent noticable^^ I suck sometimes eh?

Thank you very much for this tutorial.I've just started making photomanipulations and this is very helpful.Few days ago I took some nice rose photos and I was wondering how to make brushes from them,now I know.
Just one question : When you make 4 or more different brushes (in this case rose brushes) how do you put them together in one ABR file ?

I have a quuuestion...
When I make a new brush, it doesn't save after I quit photoshop (version 7). Is there some way to save it... permanently? o.o

hmm..I've had times where photoshop just seems to restart on me..Ill open it up one day and all of my brushes are gone (mostly this happens when I restart the computer) When you make the brush it should be saved into the brushes drop down box..I dont know how to fix it if photoshop continues to 'restart' on you. I do know you can save brush files though..they save into a little photoshop readible file and you can load them back up when PS does its little restart thing.
I cant tell you how to do it exactly though, seeing as how I havent had access to PS for a while now because we're in the middle of moving. Ill have to get back to you later, when I get my computer back.

Poo! PS never saves my brushes. I've been wanting to make a fur brush (if/when I figure it out) but I don't want the brush to just vanish next time I open PS. x.X Aaarg. I'll have to find out somehow how to save them into a PS readable file then. Thank you. xD
