Description
(A. S. = Ability Scroll)Traditional Japanese hanging scroll, 60 inches in length, of the four main Popstar heroes teaming up for the long-awaited Wii game, Kirby's Return to Dream Land. I imagine that if the game was designed more like the previous Dream Land titles and Kirby 64, the player could ride Meta Knight, King Dedede, and Waddle Dee, animal-friend style, and perform ability combos. The results are a bunch of subtle references and inside jokes. Months of work went into this, mostly because I took my time/ took longer than expected because of other work and distractions. Anyway, is my first artwork submission outside the KRR galleries; reason being, said site has lost its luster, not to mention, lies about unlimited picture length. Just couldn't handle my greatness~! My name, Daimyo-KoiKoi, formerly, Dedede-Daimyo.
Sketched in mechanical pencil, outlined in ink pen, colored in felt-tip marker and colored pencil.

That just makes me sad when I saw King Dedede in drag, King Dedede hitting himself with a hammer, Kirby hitting Bandana Waddle Dee, and the OB near Meta Knight. That is just not very nice. I wish more people could show more respect to King Dedede, Bandana Waddle Dee, and Meta Knight. They deserve that respect.

King Dedede steals food from innocent people, Meta Knight tried to take over Dream Land at one point, and Kirby actually EATS innocent creatures!

I already know the events of what happened in Dreamland and I'm fine with that. The creatures that Kirby fights are bad guys and Kirby protects the innocent.I am mature in that I don't what Kirby and his friend to be made fun of. And again I would never say bottom in following God's ways. God is more special than that.

Who said that the things Kirby takes on are bad guys? Under King Dedede's wing that maybe true but, Return to Dream Land pretty much threw that out the window by having him a playable ally, and you STILL fought Waddle Dees and such.
For all we know they could be the "innocent" ones, and Kirby is just sucking 'em up and eating them like the hungry li'l bastard he is. Why? CUZ HE'S KIRBY DAMMIT! '3'

That's not being mature kid, that's being preachy. If you can't handle mild li'l things like what you've been complaining about, you may as well stick to PBS. =/

Kirby fought the bad guys in Kirby's Return to Dreamland becuase the bad guys where trying to prevent Kirby from doing good things; so Kirby had to do the right thing and stand up to those bad guys. I would never say such really bad words about Kirby. Kirby deserves more respect than that.

Again, that's debatable. While some enemies will directly attack Kirby, it could just be due to instinct and not necessarily cuz they're "bad guys". Imagine for example if you came across a Wild Lion, it's just an innocent creature of it's environment. But the instant you provoke it in anyway they WILL attack! The Enemies in the Kirby series may be the same case, besides the more innocent ones like Waddle Dee or the Sweepers. So the fact that Kirby usually won't hesitate to eat them shows that he himself maybe the REAL monster of the show. ="3
But seriously though, this is really tame material and is mostly just there for a good laugh. If you still think it's cruel, then I have this to say to you.

Heya! I know it's been a while, but thanks a bunch for your comments and for helping defend my art! You really know your stuff, and are a pretty wise guy (I mean that in a good way~). In closing, I'd like to say for all those tender of heart: the gags I included in this piece were in no way meant to offend Kirby, his friends, or even his fans. If you have as much respect and familiarity with the series as I, then you gotta have a sense of humor, and be able to laugh AT the characters, as well as WITH them. Fun fact: the outrageous "Whip Dedede" is actually an obscure reference to a panal in one of the original Kirby Super Star Mangas!

This is awesome! I love how inventive some of the ability combos are, and I also like the nods to previous Kirby games and the anime. The drawings themselves are pretty top notch, too!~
